Job description

Power Design engineer: $60k to $100k depending on experience and knowledge. Year-end bonus is possible depending on the annual success of the company and the individual’s contribution to that success. MUST BE A US CITIZEN to apply.

Knowledge and experience in the following would be expected of a qualified applicant:

  1. 4-year engineering degree required. Civil or Electrical engineering preferred.
  2. Power utility engineering background is preferred
  3. Professional engineer preferred but not required. However, the individual must be willing to achieve a professional engineering license in the State of Texas in a reasonable amount of time.
  4. Knowledge/experience with Substation design is a preferred plus.
  5. Knowledge/experience with PLS-CADD line design software is a preferred plus.
  6. Knowledge/experience with foundation design, concrete and steel construction is preferred.
  7. Construction and project management
  8. Good oral and written communication skills
  9. Teamwork oriented but able to work alone.
  10. Primarily Office but some field work may be required.
  11. Working from home is not an option.
  12. Willing to put in the time necessary to complete a design/job on time
  13. Ability to accurately keep track of time (Punctual to work, lunch breaks, and end of workday.)

We can train someone for the items above, but the pay would be commensurate with the perceived knowledge and experience.
