Job Description:

The Lead Support, Builder Design reports directly to the Builder Channel Supervisor-Design. This is an individual contributor role that is responsible for creating Articad (or 20/20) layouts for existing customers, bids, and maintaining layouts with revisions to blueprints. Also provides value engineering recommendations to the builder for most cost-effective design. This role works closely with stakeholders to ensure the success and accuracy of designs and orders.

This position is primarily remote but requires in office presence in Jasper on Wednesday.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Produce quality, detailed, accurate layouts from blueprints utilizing Articad (or 20/20) design tool
  • Provide design recommendations to customers (internal & external) based upon product knowledge
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding design layout
  • Troubleshoot blueprints for inconsistencies compared to specifications and/or field conditions
  • Maintain electronic documentation of standard work procedures for customer account management
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw appropriate conclusions, and provide solutions. Seek clarification to determine root cause of issues
  • Must possess decision making skills to determine when exceptions are needed to provide resolution to the situation
  • Understand customer requirements and analyze requests for potential obstacles before implementing systematic changes
  • Research & Answer installation questions from installers, customer, MBCI field personnel and Service Agents
  • Provide back-up support to other members of the team (may include cross-functional roles)
  • Other duties as may be assigned at management's discretion

Education & Experience:

  • A 2-year or 4-year degree is preferred (or equivalent design experience)
