What is the 70 30 rule in interior design?

The 70/30 rule in interior design suggests that 70% of a room should be composed of neutral or subdued colors, while 30% can feature bolder accents or patterns. Interior designers often use this ratio to create balanced and visually appealing spaces, ensuring that focal points stand out without overwhelming the overall design.

What is the 3-5-7 rule in interior design?

The 3-5-7 rule in interior design is a guideline for arranging furniture and decor to create balanced and harmonious spaces, typically involving grouping items in odd numbers like three, five, or seven for visual interest. Interior designers often use this rule to achieve aesthetic appeal and proper scale in a room. It helps in creating focal points and maintaining proportion in design layouts.
