Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Bayonne, NJ
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday
Position Summary
A reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. The CSR serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring timely communication regarding orders, inventory, shipments, and service inquiries. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and internal systems in a professional and timely manner.
  • Process customer orders, shipment requests, and order modifications.
  • Track and monitor inbound and outbound shipments and provide status updates to customers.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel, transportation providers, and management to resolve issues.
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer, inventory, and shipment data in company systems.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns, shortages, damages, and delivery discrepancies.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence related to customer accounts.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries while ensuring customer requirements are met.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving.
  • Support administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous customer service, logistics, warehouse, transportation, or distribution experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
