GXC is seeking Armed Protective Security Officer Supervisors for the Brookhaven, NY FPS Contract.


The Brookhaven, NY FPS Contract Supervisor, reporting to the Contract Manager, assumes responsibility for the Security Officer Program and workforce.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervising all individuals on the contract to include, but not limited to Armed Protective Security Officers and Supervisors and administrative staff.
  • Ensuring all posts are covered by trained and certified PSOs daily.โ€ฏโ€ฏ
  • Ensuring employees perform all duties and requirements of the contract to include: quality of services and supplies, timeliness of all deliverables, control costs, compliance with all GXC and client reporting requirements, quality control, and management of key personnel.โ€ฏ
  • Conduct prompt and thorough internal investigations of reported allegations.โ€ฏ
  • Ensure all equipment and property is tracked and accounted for, and otherwise safeguarded.โ€ฏ
  • Have overall responsibility for implementing, monitoring, and upgrading the program quality control plan and is responsible for ensuring the work force complies with program requirements.โ€ฏ
  • Serve as the focal point for the client for all program activities and be responsible for overall quality and standards conformance in accordance with the contract or the statement of work.โ€ฏ
  • Ensure that all employees follow all contract and state requirements.โ€ฏ
  • Assist with scheduling and ensuring coverage of posts
  • Conduct monthly inspections on all PSOs
  • Required to stand post and be on call to cover for PSOs as needed
  • Work closely with clientsโ€™ leadership.โ€ฏ

Qualifications:

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance, Top Secret preferred or a Lawful permanent resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces
  • Been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individualโ€™s names and social security number.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of specialized experience. The Specialized experience includes project development and implementation from inspection to deployment; expertise in management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms; and demonstrated capability in managing multiโ€task Contracts or subcontracts of various types and complexity.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in any field of study or have substantial and verifiable law enforcement, military or business management experience, which demonstrates individualโ€™s capacity to effectively manage a security force and contract/task order equivalent to scope, magnitude, and complexity as described in this contract
  • Candidates should have prior firearms experience.
  • Active DHS Homeland Security Federal Protective Service Clearance preferred or be able to acquire and maintain a favorable adjudication
  • Must be able to attend at least three consecutive weeks of training.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required, verbal and written fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.
  • Neat and professional appearance.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations efficiently and effectively at client sites.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for fine motor activity to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing and occasionally lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. of office and facilities equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
