Join our team in developing and introducing the new evening entertainment and event space, Bar Luna. This includes the implementation of various strategies and action plans to actively and aggressively pursue weddings, corporate meetings, birthday parties and other events. The position requires timely follow-up, preparing estimates and proposals and contract negotiations. You will be responsible for driving the sales efforts while maintaining the highest level of service and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be committed to building a strong reputation for Bar Luna in both the event industry with a keen eye toward developing the eventual dining.
Candidates that succeed in this role are individuals who demonstrate a love for autonomy, rapidly changing environments, and teamwork. They are creative, trendy, charismatic, knowledgeable, and well-versed in the latest sales and marketing techniques as well as experienced in food and beverage management. They arent afraid to think outside of the box!

Event Manager Key Responsibilities:

In addition to events, this position would take charge of developing the important Friday and Saturday night 2 to 3 hour event with live music, light culinary options as well as beer, wine and mocktails.
Effectively contract events, including but not limited to weddings, rehearsal dinners, social events, corporate events, holiday parties, fundraisers, bridal showers, birthdays, etc. at a level to meet or exceed annual revenue goals
Actively solicit business to include prospecting, cold calling, and sales calls and conduct property tours with prospective clients.
Hire, train, schedule and manage staff responsible for event execution including coordinators, banquet servers, bartenders, etc.
Commission based on sales.
