Seasonal Event Staff
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mattapoisett YMCA is hiring Seasonal Event Staff to support our Shining Tides Wedding & Events team. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in event staff, hospitality, facilities support, or wedding venue operations.
Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent guest support.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct guests to parking areas and coordinate bus drop-offs
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown (tables, chairs, event spaces)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout events
  • Monitor facilities and handle basic maintenance needs
  • Secure buildings and grounds after events
  • Provide general event support to ensure smooth operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous experience in events, hospitality, or facilities is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs (tables, chairs, equipment)
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
