Job description

Clair Global is seeking a Event Network Engineer to join the Clair Data Services
division. The Event Network Engineer will be responsible for configuring, deploying,
maintaining, documenting, and supporting Clair Global's temporary events and touring networks.
This on-site position is an integral part of enhancing fan experiences, optimizing production
workflows and facilitating seamless communication throughout events, on international
productions such as, Coachella, BottleRock, and SoundStorm.

LOCATION:
• Travel is required domestically and internationally.
• Primary location of Lititz, PA or Nashville, TN preferred
• Remote is also an option if not in Lititz PA or Nashville TN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interfacing and communicating with many production departments across multiple
multimedia networking protocols (audio, video, lighting, special effects, security,
food/beverage sales, etc.) to deliver exceptional experiences to audiences.
• Document detailed and highly technical processes and deployments effectively and clearly.
• Write after-action reports and debriefs of events to highlight strengths and weaknesses in
overall event networks.
• Work alongside and lead teams of Engineers, Technicians and Project Managers on-site at
event locations.
• Occasional travel both domestically and internationally to work on events or installation
sites, sometimes for extended periods of time (up to 12-16 weeks/year depending on
company workload). Flexibility is a must.
• Ability to work extended or odd hours, primarily outside in challenging conditions (extreme
heat, cold, snow, rain, wind etc.) including occasional overnight shifts around show/event
schedules.
• Integrating, configuring, and maintaining critical, large scale wired and wireless networks
and infrastructure for numerous high-profile events throughout the year.
• Real-time troubleshooting and diagnosis of critical network infrastructure and ability to
maintain composure under high stress, high pressure situations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Networking, Information Sciences &
Technology, Computer and Network Systems Administration, or a related field; or 5+ years
of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• One or more relevant technical certifications are preferred, including networking, cloud,
security, or virtualization credentials such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP,
VMware VCP-NV, Microsoft Azure, or AWS certifications.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience deploying, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise
network infrastructure, including switches, wireless controllers, access points, point-to-point/multipoint
wireless systems, SD-WAN, VoIP technologies, and network routing
platforms in multi-site environments.
• Understanding of basic network protocols and concepts such as VLANs, VRFs, DHCP, DNS,
spanning tree and link aggregation.
• 2+ years of experience in Linux server administration, API interaction, and/or scripting
languages, such as Python.
• Knowledge of real-time audio/video protocols (Dante, AES67, ArtNet, sACN, NDI) a plus.
• Ability to travel internationally.
