Now Hiring: Continuous Process Improvement Manager

(Operational Excellence | Multi-Branch Operations | Rental Services)

Mustang Cat is seeking a driven and analytical Continuous Process Improvement Manager to support operational excellence initiatives across Mustang Rental Services. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for driving execution consistency, operational discipline, and continuous improvement across a multi-branch rental operation serving the construction, industrial, infrastructure, and energy industries.

Job Summary

In this role, you’ll partner closely with Branch Operations, Service, Fleet, Heavy Rents, Sales, and Central Operations teams to improve operational performance, eliminate inefficiencies, and strengthen execution consistency across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Standardization & Execution

  • Drive adoption and compliance with standard operating procedures across branches, yards, shops, and dispatch
  • Identify execution gaps and variability across locations; lead corrective action plans with branch leadership
  • Support rollout and reinforcement of new operating models, workflows, and process changes
  • Act as a field-facing execution leader—present in branches, yards, and operations regularly

Performance Improvement & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives targeting cost to serve, delivery execution, turnaround time, and labor productivity
  • Partner with branch and regional leaders to improve Rev/FTE, GM/FTE, and operational throughput metrics
  • Apply Lean / Six Sigma concepts pragmatically to eliminate waste and friction in daily operations
  • Track initiative progress and ensure benefits realization

Cross-Functional Enablement

  • Partner with Fleet and Central Ops to ensure operational readiness, availability logic, and execution alignment
  • Support Service and Heavy Rents in improving repair cycle time, dispatch effectiveness, and job execution flow
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Sales, and Finance leaders to ensure execution aligns with revenue and margin objectives

Reporting & Governance

  • Develop and maintain execution scorecards and dashboards tied to operational KPIs
  • Monitor leading indicators and surface risks early to Operations and Executive leadership
  • Drive accountability through clear ownership, follow-up, and execution cadence
  • Support monthly operating reviews with data-driven insights and recommendations


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification preferred

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in operations, operational excellence, or continuous improvement roles
  • Experience in equipment rental, industrial services, logistics, construction, or asset-intensive environments strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of driving execution improvements across multiple locations or teams
  • Experience directly managing teams and developing employees
