CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER - MILAN, MICHIGAN
A Leading Automotive Supplier near Milan, Michigan needs a Continuous Improvement Manager. Experience working in a Manufacturing Plant setting is Required. Formal Six Sigma, Lean or Continuous Improvement Training is a Must for this Position.
This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation. No Travel Required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to plant consistent with company, department and plant business goals
Provide key input into the development of strategic business plan and identify and track key measurables to support plant business plan goals
Organize monthly optimization workshop, reporting status and progress
Resurrect the Green Belt program, report with progress and status.
Reconstruct the Plant CI workshops expectations and track accordingly
Construct plant inventory model that compares to engineered standards
Assess and build leadership bench-strength and organizational capabilities as well as create a collaborative high performance work environment
Provide guidance and counsel leadership and functional management teams on a variety of issues including continuous improvement standard work initiatives, Kaizen, performance metrics, capacity planning and analysis, etc.
Provide leadership in all continuous improvement programs and processes including the development, coordination, implementation, and maintenance of CI programs, processes, and services including policy development and compliance.
Guide the research, development and implementation of programs and best practices to maximize cost savings through implementation of proactive and innovative programs
Lead all CI management system functions and activities
Provide prioritized direction and leadership to ensure CI goals and objectives are being met.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor s Degree is Desired but not Required if someone has the necessary Expertise needed.
Minimum ten (10) or more years experience in a manufacturing environment with experience in a metals environment preferred, or a combination of degree and experience, and six (6) years of management experience.
Six Sigma Black Belt is Preferred
Experience in quality and environmental measurables such as IATF 16949
