Boaterโ€™s World Marine Centers is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Consignment Sales Consultant to join our team in Islamorada, FL.


This role is centered around helping customers sell their boats while building and maintaining a strong pipeline of premium marine inventory for the dealership. Youโ€™ll work directly with boat owners, buyers, and internal teams to manage the consignment process from intake to final sale.


In the Florida Keys market, customer relationships, urgency, professionalism, and follow-up matter. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing multiple conversations at once, and helping move deals forward.


We are prioritizing local Florida Keys candidates or those available to relocate immediately.


What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

Client Interaction & Consignment Intake
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers interested in consigning boats, trailers, and marine equipment
  • Explain the consignment process, pricing strategy, timelines, and expectations clearly and professionally
  • Build strong relationships with sellers through consistent communication and follow-up
  • Evaluate incoming units and gather accurate information regarding condition, specifications, and pricing
Sales & Inventory Promotion
  • Promote consigned inventory through dealership displays, online listings, customer outreach, and social media activity
  • Work closely with the sales team to maximize exposure and drive inventory movement
  • Maintain accurate and organized inventory listings within dealership systems
  • Ensure units are properly merchandised and presented for sale
Sales Transactions & Deal Support
  • Assist buyers and sellers throughout the transaction process
  • Support negotiations and help facilitate successful closings
  • Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with dealership policies
Customer Experience
  • Deliver a professional, responsive, and customer-first experience throughout the consignment process
  • Address questions and resolve issues quickly and professionally
  • Build trust and long-term relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals
Administrative & Team Support
  • Maintain accurate records for all consignment inventory, agreements, and sales activity
  • Coordinate with Sales, Service, and Management teams to ensure smooth inventory flow and readiness
  • Support overall dealership sales goals through strong communication and teamwork
Requirements:


  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Marine industry or boating knowledge strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deals and follow-ups
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment
  • Ability to use CRM systems, dealership software, and Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented
