Position Overview:
Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is looking to hire an experienced Configuration Manager to support a strategic DoD program. In this role, you will own configuration management across the program lifecycle, establishing and maintaining hardware, software, and system baselines. You will also own software license management across the program, tracking entitlements, renewals, and compliance so that license posture stays aligned with delivered configuration baselines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish, document, and maintain functional, allocated, and product configuration baselines across program hardware, software, and firmware.
  • Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and deviations through the Configuration Control Board (CCB) process.
  • Maintain configuration management plans, procedures, and tools in alignment with DoD and program requirements.
  • Administer the engineering configuration management toolset (Jira, Git, GitLab, PDM/PLM, or equivalent) and ensure traceability across requirements, design, and as-built records.
  • Maintain technical data packages (TDPs), bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering release records.
  • Own software license inventory, entitlement tracking, and renewal management across the program.
  • Manage vendor license agreements and maintain license compliance across delivered systems.
  • Conduct Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) to verify baseline integrity.
  • Track configuration status across the program and provide configuration and license metrics and reports to program leadership.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams to manage changes from initiation through implementation.
  • Ensure configuration management practices align with EIA-649, DoD 5000 series, and program-specific requirements.
  • Support program reviews, customer engagements, and acquisition milestones with configuration and license data.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 6 years of configuration management experience supporting a hardware, software, or hardware/software integrated program.
  • Experience managing engineering baselines and change control processes (ECR/ECP/CCB).
  • Experience with software license management, including license inventory, entitlement tracking, renewals, and compliance reporting.
  • Experience with configuration management tooling (Jira, Git, GitLab, Confluence, PDM/PLM, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Linux
  • Exposure to Ansible
  • Experience maintaining technical data packages, BOMs, and engineering release documentation.
  • Familiarity with EIA-649, DoD 5000 series, or equivalent CM standards.
  • Strong documentation, attention to detail, and process discipline.
  • Experience with hardware/software integrated platforms, deployable systems, or DSOP background.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or firm understanding of configuration management in a production manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in configuration management (CMII, NDIA CM, or equivalent).
  • Experience with software asset management (SAM) or IT asset management tooling (Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow SAM, or equivalent).
  • Experience managing COTS software licensing within a delivered or fielded product.
  • Experience supporting Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCA).
  • Experience supporting business development and proposal efforts.
