Position Summary:
HII - Mission Technologies
is looking to hire an experienced Configuration Analyst to provide full-time support for the U.S. Army Cargo Helicopters Program Management (PM) Office in Huntsville, Alabama. The Cargo Helicopters PM Office provides expert technical support for U.S. Army Cargo Aviation worldwide.
HII engineers and analysts are expected to rise to the challenge of setting the highest standard of professional and ethical conduct and participating in a wide range of professional development opportunities.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Provide configuration and data management support to program management office.
  • Assist in analyzing and providing recommendations for contract development across various departments such as Logistics, Technical, Fleet Management, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
  • Review Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS) to ensure accuracy of technical, programmatic, and financial requirements.
  • Assist in the development of the Contract Requirement Packages (CRP) including creating Contract Deliverable Requirement Lists (CDRL), Document Summary Lists (DSL), and Ozone Depleting Compound (ODC) certifications.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.
  • Oversee contract data submittals, encompassing FMS, Block I, Modernization, and other Fleet Management Contracts.
  • Prepare and develop briefings supporting Program Management Reviews (PMR), design reviews, and staff calls.
  • Process, review, and provide recommendations for approval/disapproval of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Requests for Variance (RFV), Configuration
  • Management (CM) Plans, configuration audit plans and reports, configuration audit plans and reports, Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)and CDRL deliveries.
  • Participate in performing Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) at production contractor or subcontractor facilities.
  • Review Technical Data Packages for accuracy, and compliance with engineering and technical data standards.
  • Interface with CH-47F program contractors to provide guidance on program CM issues and to monitor risks and contractual compliance.
  • Communicate in writing and orally with CH-47 PMO internal organizations and functional teams, external Government agencies, and contractors to provide CM/DM guidance, program alternatives, and courses of action.
  • Assist in oversight of contractor CM programs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
  • Must be experienced with configuration management, CDRLs, ECPs, CCBs, RFVs, specifications, contracts, and engineering drawings (Experience is not limited to the aviation community).
  • Ability to provide onsite support (Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama).
  • Support travel requirements up to 10%.
  • Security Clearance: An active SECRET security clearance

Preferred Requirements
  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree in related field; 11 years relevant experience with an associate's degree in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's or greater in Business, Management, Logistics, Acquisitions, or Engineering.
  • Experience and interest in aviation Configuration Management.
  • 9 years or more of DoD Aviation Maintenance experience.
  • Experience working with Commercial and DOD Configuration Management and DoD contractual deliverables.
  • Experience with TopVue, Windchill or other TDP database tracking software.
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
