Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Configuration Manager to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for supporting the establishment and maintenance of consistent and reliable system configurations
  • Possess a solid understanding of configuration management principles and a developing skillset in configuration identification, control, and auditing
  • Assist in the development and implementation of configuration management plans and procedures, ensuring adherence to organizational standards
  • Participate in configuration audits, analyzing configuration data, and contributing to the identification of areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders, effectively communicating configuration information and supporting the integration of configuration management processes into the development lifecycle
  • They support configuration management databases (CMDB), version control systems, and change management processes
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field or 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degree
  • Four (4) or more years of total professional IT experience.
  • Two (2) or more years of Software Configuration Management experience.
  • Experience with configuration management databases (CMDB) and tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN). and change management processes.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools.
  • Relevant configuration management certifications (e.g., CMII). CompTIA Security+ or similar security certification.
  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
