SPA has an immediate need for a Configuration Data Management Specialist to support Air Force Life Cycle Management Center AFLCMC/WAM (F-16 Division) at Wright Patterson AFB.ย 

Responsibilities

Configuration Data Management Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with configuration management (CM) and data management (DM) tasks related to the development, production, and support of F-16 weapon systems, subsystems, and related equipment acquired by the USAF for both USAF and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. This includes the full range of CM, DM, Engineering Data Management (EDM), and deficiency report (DR) actions required under governing DoD, USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, and program office directives, policies, and guidance documents. The specialist will assist in reviewing program-unique specifications-including system, development, and product specifications for both hardware and software-for proper format, content, and compliance with program requirements and applicable standards. They will also assist in processing requests for nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs), and track these requests through the appropriate government agencies until a response is provided to the customer. Additional duties include assisting with the configuration control function, including receipt, dissemination, processing, tracking, and final disposition of Advanced Change Study Notices (ACSNs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), Requests for Deviation/Waiver (RFD/RFW), DRs, airworthiness directive notes, service actions, and notices of deficiency. The specialist will help review change proposals for thoroughness, configuration and DM impacts, and compliance with government requirements; make appropriate recommendations for government review and disposition; and assist in the preparation and conduct of Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and business management boards (or their equivalent). They will also assist in maintaining change proposal files and in providing historical information as required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD or, seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, five of which must be in the DoD
  • Has the knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performingย 
  • Able to work independently and applies the proper procedures and processes related to their area of expertise or under the oversight of more senior Contractor employees (Program Office and Staff Level Support interface)
  • Has the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program / project guidelines
  • Active Secret security clearance required and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

  • Three years DoD acquisition program office CM experience with digital acquisition techniques focus
