About the Role:
Veracity Ventures Inc. is seeking a compassionate and skilled RN Labor and Delivery to join our dedicated team in Silver Spring, MD. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and assess antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients throughout the labor and delivery process
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxytocin per physician orders and established protocols
  • Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret electronic fetal monitor (EFM) strips
  • Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal and cesarean section deliveries
  • Provide patient and family education on labor progression, pain management options, and newborn care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including OB physicians, midwives, neonatologists, and anesthesiologists
  • Respond swiftly to obstetric emergencies including shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and fetal distress
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in the state of Maryland (or compact license eligibility)
  • Current BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience preferred
  • Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and obstetric nursing protocols
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification is a plus
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in high-acuity situations
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and patient-centered care approach
