The Software Sales Engineer would be responsible to present and sell software solutions to TRUMPF customers. Besides a very broad knowledge in customer and sheet metal processes, the Software Sales Engineer evaluates customer requirements to present appropriate solutions to customers.

Software Sales Engineer Responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer requirements and propose suitable solutions from software product suite.

  • Conduct live customer webinars and product presentations to support the sales network

  • Manage sales opportunities from quotation to closure

  • Use customer parts to simulate the benefits and features of software products.

  • Work with TRUMPF Sales network to present and quote software products for customer projects.

  • Support Sales network at trade shows or customer seminars as needed across the country.

  • Participate in competitive analysis and justify benefits of our offering.

  • Travel as needed in USMCA 15%

Education & Experience

Minimum of 3 years Sheet Metal Industry Experience. Expert knowledge in CAD/CAM programming software and sheet metal manufacturing processes. Existing knowledge of either TRUMPF software solutions, or competitor software preferred. General knowledge of ERP, MES, MRP are also preferred. Strong computer skills as well as strong presentation and communicating skills, with a professional attitude a must. Ability to manage the entire sales cycle of the product.

Salary Range: $68,175 - $105,145
