Moog's Corporate Group is hiring a Senior Compensation Specialist, Architecture & Governance to join its growing Rewards Team.
As the Senior Compensation Specialist, you will be the technical lead for Moog's job architecture and job evaluation frameworks, ensuring consistency, fairness, and alignment with business objectives. You will serve as a strategic consultant to HR partners, guiding them in understanding and sustaining job structures, leveling frameworks, and pay equity principles. Additionally, you will collaborate on cross-functional initiatives that impact workforce planning, talent mobility, and organizational effectiveness.
You will work a hybrid schedule in East Aurora, NY.
To be considered for the Senior Compensation Specialist role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Typically, bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Over five (5) years of experience in compensation, job architecture, or roles involving strong HR partnerships.
  • Expertise in job evaluation methodologies (e.g., Mercer, Hay Group, Willis Towers Watson frameworks).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret job data and industry benchmarks.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, compensation management tools, and job evaluation software.
  • Ability to influence and educate HR partners and business leaders on compensation structures.
  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.

As the Senior Compensation Specialist, you will:
  • Design, implement, and evolve governance structures, tools, systems, and guidelines that ensure the integrity and sustainability of the global Career Architecture framework.
  • Partner with COEs and HR teams to lead senior level job evaluations and provide strategic guidance on job design to support business growth and workforce planning.
  • Design new salary range structures as needed across the global Moog footprint, in partnership with local HR stakeholders.
  • Consult on compensation structure alignment, leveling decisions, and internal equity strategies using the job framework as a foundational tool, and support enterprise changes such as mergers, acquisitions, and organizational restructuring.
  • Define system requirements related to compensation programs and drive configuration as a subject matter expert in partnership with the HCM Workday team.
  • Develop and deploy training and resources to HR, managers, and business leaders on job architecture concepts and evaluation processes.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $85,000.00-$115,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
