Job description

Do you want to empower organizations to build smarter compensation strategies while ensuring fair pay for all employees?
Syndio is a Series C technology company leveraging advanced technology and responsible AI to accelerate decision-making, streamline compliance, and democratize insights for consistent, equitable compensation practices at scale. Backed by $83M in investments from Bessemer Venture Partners, Voyager Capital, and Emerson Collective, we are expanding our team and products to help companies align their rewards strategies with their business goals.
Our customers are our greatest asset. Syndio partners with many of the world's most recognized and respected enterprises, helping them implement leading-edge compensation solutions with expert guidance. We analyze pay for over 10 million employees across dozens of countries, ensuring fair, defensible rewards that drive better business outcomes.
Join us in our mission to help companies make smarter pay decisions they can trust!
About the role
Owns the operational backbone of Syndio's product marketing function, maintaining the systems, content, and intelligence that help Sales, SE, and field teams go to market with clarity and confidence. This role sits at the intersection of product, marketing, and sales, and is the connective tissue that keeps Syndio's market-facing story accurate, accessible, and battle-tested. Reports to the Sr. Director, Product Marketing and Brand.
Why this job is exciting
Product Messaging and Content
  • Maintain and version all customer-facing product messaging, ensuring collateral, web pages, and enablement assets reflect current positioning at all times
  • Own Syndio's product content library, including feature one-pagers, capability matrices, packaging comparisons, and use-case narratives, so Sales and SE can find what they need without re-requesting it
  • Partner with Content and Creative to refresh assets when product or positioning changes, managing timelines and intake so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Translate product roadmap updates and release notes into plain-language summaries that field teams can act on immediately

Go-to-Market Execution
  • Coordinate product launch execution end-to-end, including building launch briefs, managing asset production timelines, and ensuring Sales has what it needs before GA
  • Support the development of demo scripts, SE talking points, and persona-specific value narratives for new products and packaging tiers
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to identify gaps in field readiness and prioritize support accordingly

Competitive Intelligence
  • Stand up and maintain Syndio's competitive intelligence program under the direction of the Sr. Director, building the tracking infrastructure, source list, and reporting cadence from the ground up
  • Monitor key competitors on an ongoing basis across positioning, pricing, features, packaging, and customer feedback signals
  • Synthesize findings into regular competitive briefs and battlecards that Sales can use in active deals
  • Flag emerging threats and category shifts to marketing and sales leadership in real time

Win/Loss
  • Stand up Syndio's win/loss program, including interview guide development, outreach process, and a consistent reporting format that makes findings actionable for Sales and leadership
  • Conduct or coordinate win/loss interviews with recent buyers and lost prospects, in partnership with Sales and CS
  • Maintain a living repository of win/loss themes, with regular synthesis shared across Sales, Marketing, and Product
  • Surface patterns that inform positioning, objection handling, and competitive response

Review and Analyst Platform Management
  • Own Syndio's presence on G2, Gartner Peer Insights, and comparable platforms, including profile accuracy, review generation campaigns in partnership with CS and Customer Marketing, and response strategy
  • Monitor and report on review trends, competitive standing, and platform-driven traffic as part of a regular marketing intelligence cadence

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a primary liaison between Product and Marketing, attending relevant product standups or reviews, surfacing marketing implications of roadmap decisions, and ensuring the marketing org has full visibility into roadmap decisions and can move in lockstep with product releases.
  • Support analyst relations prep by building background materials, capability summaries, and competitive context for briefings
  • Bring a consistent point of view on how the market perceives Syndio relative to competitors, and share it proactively across teams

About you
  • Significant experience in product marketing, competitive intelligence, market research, or a closely related field, ideally in B2B SaaS
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to distill complex product and market information into clear, usable content for Sales and field teams
  • You've built programs before, not just contributed to them. You will be standing up the win/loss and competitive intelligence functions.
  • A researcher's instinct and a storyteller's sensibility, able to find the signal in market noise and translate it into positioning that resonates
  • Experience with tools like G2, Gartner Peer Insights, Crayon, Klue, or similar competitive and review platforms is a plus
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple workstreams with competing timelines without losing detail quality
  • Collaborative by nature, this role touches nearly every team and requires someone who builds relationships easily and follows through consistently

Why you'll love it here:
  • Competitive Compensation. For this role our salary is targeted at $144,000 -$160,000 per year. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience and expertise. We take a geo neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.
  • Syndio Equity. So you can share in Syndio's success.
  • Flexible Vacation Policy. We encourage our team to recharge when they need to, plus paid sick & safe time, compassion leave, and voting leave.
  • Paid parental leave
  • Medical, Dental, Vision. Syndio pays 90% of employee premiums, and 50% for dependents.
  • Life Insurance & Disability. Syndio covers the full premium.
  • 401(k). To help you save for your future
  • Fully remote model - #LI-Remote

The interview overview
Below you'll find an outline of the interview plan for our Market Intelligence & Positioning Specialist, Product Storytelling position. Please note that this is what we expect the process to look like; we may ask you for supplemental information or require an additional step before making a final decision.
  • 30 min interview with a member of our Talent Team

At Syndio, we're building a diverse team that values candor, curiosity, and community. We don't expect anyone to have all the answers, as long as you're willing to learn and grow with us.
Syndio is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are building an inclusive and collaborative workplace as we grow, and we welcome team members regardless of gender/identity, sexual orientation, race or cultural background, religion, physical disability and age.
