Position Summary
  • Independently leads client service, acts autonomously on most decisions without guidance or direction AND delivers renewal messaging for most AND makes coverage recommendations for most clients.
  • Clients are often small, with less than 50 enrolled, but could be up to 100 and are typically fully insured, or level funded. May provide support or lead a few middle market accounts under general direction.
  • Supports between $500K to $700K in EB revenue.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Facilitate renewal discussions (program and coverage recommendations) based on client needs
  • Gather data and pull renewals, plan variations and quotes
  • Negotiate with carriers when applicable
  • Present renewal and or quotes to clients, with recommendations
  • Obtains and confirms client' final decision
  • Complete carrier installation, including all required paperwork
  • Model and communicate contribution strategies and recommendations
  • Coordinate and facilitate open enrollment

Additional Duties
  • Manage eligibility and resolve escalated claims/billing issues.
  • Support and guide client through small group audit/certification
  • Maintain and update BenefitPoint for all client and policy data files/documents

Work Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of ACA fully insured plans, ancillary lines and HRAs and HSAs.
  • Advanced knowledge to work across multiple states with proficiency in plans and products.
  • Advanced skills in leading SBU renewal meetings, carrier implementations, open enrollments, and open service issues.
  • Proficient in level-funded and basic self-funding concepts.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PPT and applicable WIA EB Templates.
  • Proficient in BenefitPoint and Perfect Quote, Quoting tools and WIA EB Workflows.

Professional Licenses/Certifications
  • Must hold state life and health insurance license

Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent work experience would be considered

Physical Demands
Office work involves working at a desk most of the time, using a stand-up/sit-down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion typically is required every day, and walking and standing are required occasionally.
