JOB SUMMARY:

Venbrook Insurance Services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Client Executive to join our Private Client Services team, specializing in high-net-worth personal lines insurance. The Client Executive is responsible for new business development, client acquisition, and building comprehensive insurance programs for affluent individuals and family offices. In this role, you will partner closely with Account Managers to ensure seamless client transitions and an exceptional service experience from prospect to placement.

POSITION COMPETENCIES:

Client Relationship Management: Builds and sustains trusted, long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients and prospects. Demonstrates discretion, attentiveness, and responsiveness consistent with the expectations of an affluent clientele. Understands client needs holistically and positions Venbrook as a strategic risk partner, not just a policy provider.

Business Development & Sales Execution: Proactively identifies and pursues new revenue opportunities through referral networks, centers of influence, and direct outreach. Converts prospects into clients through consultative selling, tailored proposals, and disciplined pipeline management. Consistently meets or exceeds new business production goals.

Technical Insurance Knowledge: Demonstrates deep working knowledge of personal lines products including homeowners, auto, umbrella, watercraft, fine art, jewelry, and specialty coverages for high-net-worth clients. Understands carrier underwriting guidelines, coverage gaps, and market alternatives to design comprehensive insurance programs.

Proposal Development & Presentation: Constructs well-organized, client-ready proposals that clearly communicate coverage structure, program rationale, and differentiated value. Delivers confident, polished presentations to prospects and senior stakeholders, adapting content and style to the audience.

Market & Carrier Relationships: Cultivates strong professional relationships with admitted and non-admitted carriers, managing general agents, and specialty market contacts. Leverages these relationships to negotiate favorable terms, secure capacity, and access programs suited to high-value risks.

Strategic Thinking: Analyzes client risk profiles with a forward-looking perspective, anticipating coverage needs and market changes. Identifies growth opportunities within the book of business and contributes to divisional strategy with a long-term view on profitability and client retention.

Attention to Detail & Quality: Maintains a high standard of accuracy in proposals, submissions, and documentation. Reviews work products thoroughly to ensure coverage terms, limits, and conditions are correct and align with client specifications and carrier confirmations.

Communication Skills: Communicates clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats. Translates complex insurance concepts into accessible language for clients. Maintains proactive communication with clients, prospects, and internal partners at every stage of the sales and placement process.

Collaboration & Teamwork: Partners effectively with Account Managers, operations staff, and division leadership to deliver a seamless client experience. Shares market intelligence, best practices, and client insights across the team. Supports a culture of accountability and collective performance.

Time Management & Organization: Manages a high volume of concurrent prospects, submissions, and client interactions without sacrificing quality or responsiveness. Prioritizes effectively, meets deadlines, and maintains structured follow-up disciplines to advance pipeline progression.

Adaptability & Resilience: Navigates market changes, competitive pressures, and complex client situations with composure and resourcefulness. Adjusts strategy and approach as needed while maintaining focus on client outcomes and business objectives.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute targeted marketing strategies to attract and secure high-net-worth individual clients and family office relationships.
  • Build detailed, customized insurance proposals and program designs for prospective clients, including home, auto, watercraft, fine art, jewelry, umbrella, and specialty coverages.
  • Present proposals to prospects, clearly articulating the value, coverage structure, and service differentiation of Venbrook's Private Client platform.
  • Manage the new business pipeline from initial contact through binding, ensuring accurate documentation and a smooth handoff to the servicing team.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure continuity of client relationships and high-quality service delivery throughout the policy lifecycle.
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling and account rounding opportunities within the existing book of business.
  • Maintain strong, strategic relationships with admitted and non-admitted carriers, specialty markets, and managing general agents to negotiate favorable terms and access unique programs.

  • Achieve and exceed new business production targets and contribute to the overall growth strategy of the Private Client Services division.
  • Maintain accurate client data, activity records, and pipeline reporting in AMS360.
  • Represent Venbrook at industry events, client functions, and networking opportunities to build brand presence and generate referral business.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop, and close new business within the high-net-worth personal lines market.
  • Strong knowledge of personal lines products including home, auto, umbrella, watercraft, fine art, jewelry, and specialty coverages.
  • Established relationships with high-net-worth carriers and specialty markets (e.g., Chubb, AIG Private Client, PURE, Cincinnati, Openly).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with affluent clients and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure competitive terms and favorable outcomes for clients.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and client-first orientation.
  • Proficiency in AMS360 or comparable agency management system preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in personal lines insurance with a demonstrated focus on high-net-worth or private client accounts.
