As McKesson prepares to separate its Medical-Surgical business unit into a standalone entity, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the Finance Transformation & Governance workstream within the MMS Separation PMO. This is a full-time role expected to last approximately 18 months, aligned to the anticipated timeline for establishing the standalone organization's finance capabilities, governance structure, and operational readiness.

This role will oversee a multi-year project plan focused on transitioning off Transition Service Agreements (TSAs), integrating new systems and processes, and supporting the stand-up of independent finance organizations acrossControllership,FP&A,andFinancial Shared Services(chargebacks & contract administration). The Project Manager will serve as thecentral pointof contact for all related activities, partnering with the Finance Core Team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment, effective execution, and operational readiness.The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of leading complex projects and programs, complemented by experience working within or closely partnering with finance and accounting functions, including controllership, financial planning and analysis, and shared services organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning and execution of the Finance Transformation & Governance workstream, including TSA exit and post-TSA capabilities across core finance functions
  • Support the design and stand-up of new finance organizations, including structure, process, and system enablement
  • Manage the integration of tools, reporting frameworks, and operational workflows to support long-term financial governance
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the PMO and stakeholders across Controllership, FP&A,and Financial Shared Services/FSS (chargebacks & contract administration)
  • Align with the Project Director on strategic direction, escalate risks, and communicate decisions
  • Develop andmaintaindetailed project plans, milestones, RAID logs, and decision trackers
  • Facilitate regular updates and reporting to PMO leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Support change management and training efforts to drive adoption of new processes and tools
  • Maintain project documentation and collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet, SharePoint)
  • Navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities whilemaintainingfocus on strategic outcomes

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of project management experience, ideally in transformation, separation, or finance operations initiatives
  • Specialized experience inControllership, FP&A, and Financial Shared Services (chargebacks, contract administration, and RX connectivity)
  • PMP, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
  • Proficiencywith project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Miro, Jira)
  • Strong communicationand stakeholder engagement skills
  • Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
  • Proven ability to lead in a matrixed environment and navigate ambiguity
