Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Accounting Representative to join their growing accounting team in Minnetonka, MN. This is a newly created position designed to support the Accounting Manager with day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close preparation. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, reliability, and a solid understanding of accounting processes including reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, and journal entries.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys working in a stable, team-oriented environment and is looking for a long-term opportunity with a well-established organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support daily accounting operations, including high-volume data entry and transaction processing
  • Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable invoicing
  • Assist with account reconciliations, discrepancy research, and issue resolution
  • Prepare and post journal entries in support of month-end close activities
  • Work closely with internal departments to resolve accounting-related questions and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders regarding account activity and outstanding items
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with various accounting and operational support tasks as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency within accounting processes
  • Utilize internal accounting systems to process and track financial information

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger support experience
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, and accounting processes
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage repetitive and detail-oriented work with accuracy
  • Dependable, professional, and able to build strong working relationships
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems preferred
