Summary: The Customer Service Accounting Representative (CSAR) is responsible for working with customers face to face, via phone or email and handle collections and allocations of payments.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM
Seniority Level: Associate
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $23 to $26 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $57,200 and $64,600 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Effective and efficient handling of customer transactions.
  • Responsible for billing, collection and reporting activities according to the specific deadlines.
  • Accurately record and maintain customer contact information and details.
  • Build and maintain company customer relationships.
  • Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls.
  • Consistent following up on promises and commitments in a timely manner with customers.
  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.
  • Investigate customer queries as necessary and find solutions of necessary.
  • Appropriately identify and escalate customer issues.
  • Complete sales transactions and processing of payments.
  • Partner with Sales Representative to keep account transactions up to date.
  • Practice Customer focus, collaboration, and communication with team
  • Retain up to date knowledge of company products and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as required and or requested.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:
  • Excellent oral and written English language communication skills
  • Two (2) plus years' experience in Accounts Receivable
  • Provide high level of customer service
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Excellent accuracy and able to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience with the use of PCs, along with the ability to navigate in a multi-window based environment.
  • Strong Computer skills in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
