Job description

SUMMARY:

The Staff Accountant will use business and accounting skills to maintain and evaluate operational data. Additionally, they will be responsible for agency-level accounting functions, including, but not limited to general accounting, payables & receivables, financial reporting, spend analysis, material & labor variance analysis, billing & invoicing, and forecasting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial responsibilities include General Ledgers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing and Invoicing, Revenue Distribution, and Financial Reporting.
  • Ensure all defined work is performed within the timeframes allotted for each functional financial process.
  • Ensure all billing functions including invoicing, revenue distribution, and rating are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial policies, practices, procedures, and initiatives at the Plant level.
  • Manage all accounting, bookkeeping, and financial matters.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance preferred. 
  • Understanding of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
