Job DescriptionShip Building Company located in San Diego, CA shipyard related subcontractor looking to hire a Accounting Support Specialist Job SummaryWe're seeking a Payroll Specialist who can help us keep growing! This position will work closely with the Accounting Manager to manage and oversee all aspects of payroll operation and perform other general accounting and bookkeeping tasks within the accounting department. This is an excellent opportunity for career minded individual seeking for a long-term position.  Must be in San Diego California, we are not looking to relocate candidates at this time. Salary commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits including Medical, 401K with matching program, Vacation, etc.. Responsibilities:Process and track accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors.Assist with payroll preparation and ensure accuracy of employee timesheets.Support month end closing and reconcile accounts as needed.Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.Assist with expense reports, invoices and other accounting-related tasks.Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.  Qualifications:Prior experience in accounts payable, payroll or general accounting support. Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
