Position Summary...The Senior Manager, Program Management – Calendar & Project Operations is responsible for driving enterprise program execution through strategic calendar management, cross-functional project leadership, process optimization, and operational governance. This role serves as a central coordinator across multiple business functions to ensure alignment on priorities, milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and collaborative, with strong experience managing complex initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, and building scalable operational processes. This individual will translate business priorities into actionable plans, proactively identify risks, and ensure successful execution across multiple concurrent programs and initiatives.What you'll do...Calendar Management & Business Planning
  • Build and maintain integrated business calendars that align key milestones across merchandising, product development, sourcing, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Ensure calendars accurately reflect business-critical activities, including design deadlines, sample reviews, launch timelines, seasonal milestones, and go-to-market readiness.
  • Coordinate updates across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Support seasonal planning cycles, line reviews, and enterprise operational planning activities.
Program & Project Execution
  • Lead and coordinate multiple cross-functional projects from planning through execution, ensuring milestones, priorities, and deliverables remain on track.
  • Develop project plans, define success criteria, identify risks and dependencies, and drive resolution of execution challenges.
  • Manage project documentation, execution tracking, governance processes, and communication plans across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for calendar management, project coordination, and program-related communications.
Reporting, Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Create and deliver recurring status reports, dashboards, and executive communications highlighting progress, risks, dependencies, and key milestones.
  • Monitor calendar and project performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and recommending mitigation plans to maintain critical timelines.
  • Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and governance frameworks to improve consistency, visibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive continuous process improvements by identifying workflow gaps, simplifying processes, and implementing scalable solutions that support business execution.
  • Partner with Fashion and Food and Consumables Walmart Brand teams to adopt best methods and tools, creating enterprise consistency where it makes sense for the workflow.
  • Utilize reporting tools, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to streamline status tracking, reporting, and business communications.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Product Development, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in retail, product development, private brands, merchandising, program management, or related business operations.
  • Strong program and project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage complex timelines, competing priorities, and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
  • Experience developing operational processes, governance frameworks, reporting tools, and standardized workflows.
  • Ability to identify risks, solve problems proactively, and drive execution through ambiguity.
  • Experience supporting seasonal planning, product development calendars, or go-to-market processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of retail merchandising, private brands, sourcing, or product development operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies and operational excellence frameworks (PMP, CAPM, Agile/Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma) certifications preferred
