Position: Automotive Billing Clerk
Employment: Full-time, hourly

The General Office Accounting Clerk supports the daily accounting and administrative operations of a multi-franchise automotive dealership group. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions, and providing general office support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Automotive dealership experience is preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process and post daily accounting transactions accurately and timely.
  • Assist with accounts payable, including invoice entry, vendor reconciliation, and payment processing.
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions, including customer payments and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
  • Process dealer trades, floor plan entries, and other dealership accounting transactions as assigned.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Review transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process journal entries and account adjustments as directed.
  • Assist with payroll-related recordkeeping and auditing functions.
  • File, scan, and organize financial and administrative documents.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, managers, and dealership personnel.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting and management teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
  • Automotive dealership accounting experience.
  • Experience with dealership management systems such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar platforms.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Knowledge of dealership accounting processes, including vehicle inventories, floor plans, contracts, and title work.
  • Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
