We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join an engineering organization in Kailua, Hawaii. Responsibilities:
• Create and review job-related billing documents, confirm supporting details, and prepare accurate customer invoices.
• Record supplier invoices in the accounting system and assist with scheduled payment processing on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Apply customer payments received by check and credit card, monitor receivable balances, and communicate regarding overdue accounts.
• Collect incoming mail from the post office and complete bank deposit activities when required.
• Maintain orderly paper and digital records to ensure documents are easy to retrieve and properly stored.
• Enter financial and operational information into QuickBooks and other accounting tools with a high level of accuracy.
• Scan, upload, and index documentation within electronic filing platforms to support complete recordkeeping.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and colleagues while providing general accounting and administrative assistance as needed.
• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk or related accounting support position.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency using QuickBooks for data entry, invoice handling, and routine accounting tasks.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail when processing financial information and maintaining records.
• Experience with invoice processing, payment posting, and reconciliation-related support work.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet recurring deadlines.
• Clear communication skills for working with customers, vendors, and internal team members.
