Job description

Midtown Law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Calendar Clerk to join their team. This role is essential in managing the firm’s calendar, ensuring all legal deadlines, court appearances, and client meetings are accurately scheduled and tracked. The ideal candidate will have experience in legal calendar management with strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the firm’s calendar, including court appearances, motions, depositions, and client meetings.
  • Confirm court appearances and understand court part rules for appearances and motion submissions.
  • Monitor and track deadlines for legal filings, responses, and time-sensitive tasks.
  • Coordinate and communicate with outside parties to schedule depositions, hearings, and other case-related events.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts in collaboration with attorneys and staff.
  • Promptly circulate schedule updates and changes to all relevant parties.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing legal calendars, preferably within a law firm and personal injury practice.
  • Proficiency in scheduling, docketing, depositions, and Evidence Before Trial (EBT).
  • Strong organizational, client communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more years of legal calendar management experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Familiarity with New York personal injury law is preferable.
