The Position:
The Office Manager manages the daily operations of the church office, serving as the first point of contact for guests. This role provides administrative support to staff and ministries, manages the church calendar and facility use requests, and coordinates building upkeep and vendor services.
Responsibilities:
  • Front Office & Hospitality: Provide administrative and facilities support by welcoming guests, managing communications, overseeing supplies and budget, supervising facility staff, handling mail and check distribution, and coordinating benevolence and housing assistance with leadership.
  • Staff & Ministry Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to pastoral staff and ministry leaders by managing communications, events, records, and financial documentation, supporting committees, onboarding staff, and maintaining systems like Elexio.
  • Communications: Support church communications, donor engagement, and Sunday service readiness by managing the Elexio database, coordinating with key personnel, overseeing promotional materials, and ensuring the facility is prepared.
  • Scheduling & Event Coordination: Oversee church calendar and facility use by coordinating event logistics, rentals, and memorial services, managing related communications, payments, and supplies, and ensuring all setup and technology needs are met.
  • Facilities & Vendor Oversight: Manage facility operations and maintenance by coordinating with vendors and staff, overseeing repairs and seasonal upkeep, ensuring safety compliance, supporting event setup, and maintaining clean, functional common areas.
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Hospitality-oriented with a heart for ministry.
  • Proficient or willing to be trained in Elexio, Mailchimp, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and facility needs.
  • Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and confidentiality.
