Onsite - Phoenix, AZPurpose:

Responsible for engineering and technical operations of the organization and managing or performing research and development. Activities include undertaking research, design, and development activities to improve the organization's products and services; designing, constructing, testing, and operating equipment; ensuring that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness, and performance are met in production processes; interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications; developing and testing theories on the properties of materials and ingredients under various conditions; and scientific research or quality testing in a laboratory environment.

Overview:

  • Ability to work independently/under limited supervision. Applies advanced knowledge of job acquired through relevant and substantial work experience.

  • Technical knowledge in but not limited to Integrated Avionics, Payload, Motor Controls, Solid State Recorders. May direct the work of other lower-level professionals in the context of a project, process, or program.

  • Majority of time is spent overseeing technical design, implementation, or delivery of projects, processes, or programs using technical skills acquired through advanced education or equivalent work experience.

  • Focused on selling technical products and leading post-sale product installations/configurations including preparing and conducting technical sales briefings for customers; researching customer technical specifications and estimating the costs, resources, time, and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing the product or solution.

  • Knowledge in leading post-sale product configuration and designing custom solutions in accordance with customer specifications; diagnosing malfunctions of complex devices/equipment/systems and directing/overseeing repair work performed by engineering technicians; and conducting technical user training and product briefings with customers.

Qualifications/ Experience:
  • Work requires a deep understanding of the theoretical concepts and principles of an engineering discipline and advanced knowledge of the job area to execute projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, handing issues faced are numerous and can sometimes be undefined and complex.

  • Responsible for developing technical solutions that may require collaboration with internal expertise and deep analysis of the technical system.

  • Works independently with minimal guidance. Work is reviewed at critical points. May coach and review the work of lower-level engineers.

Salary Range Transparency:

Phoenix, AZ $120,000.00-$160,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
