We are currently seeking a Business Development Engineer for our client in the Steel Manufacturing domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. Salary: $130,000-$150,000/Annually

Role Description: The Business Development Engineer must have 10+ years of experience.

Basic Job Functions:

Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Function:

- Support Regional Commercial Managers and a network of sales representatives in developing and maintaining new business by serving as an in-person, customer-facing, technical resource

- Build and sustain relationships with customers, understanding their needs and specifications.

- Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, demonstrating the highest level of professionalism as a sole representative of the company.

- Lead strategic engineering and business planning initiatives to drive business growth and enhance product knowledge.

- Mentor and guide less experienced team members.

- Travel frequently to customer office and trade shows to support business development efforts. Occasional travel will be required to customer field locations and facilities.

- Live within 50 miles of an International Airport in the following states: California, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah (Nearby states will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis).

- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within the company; therefore, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering

- 3+ years of experience in the Electric Utility or Pole Manufacturing Sector

Preferred Qualifications:

- Masterโ€™s degree in engineering or business

- Transmission and distribution systems industry experience

- Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license

- Customer facing experience

- Steel Product Knowledge

Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

Travel: No

Local Preferred: Yes
