As one of the nation's premier private athletic clubs and a Seattle institution, The Washington Athletic Club (WAC) is not simply a place to work, but a place to belong. OVERVIEW


The Building Operations Manager is responsible for successful leadership and management of all aspects of the WAC's Building Operations, particularly building maintenance, janitorial, maintenance project planning and management. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 


Manage building maintenance programs and initiatives

Ensure building cleanliness and environmental standards are met; monitor utility usage

Direct and provide overall supervision to the Chief Engineer and Maintenance team

Work with the Chief Operating Officer to refine key strategies for success 

Serve as project manager for WAC capital improvement projects

Work closely with the Building Operations Assistant Manager and Chief Engineer in coordinating and performing preventive maintenance database planning

Participate in Building and Operations department meetings

Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS


A minimum of eight (8) years of building management experience in a supervisory capacity 

Bachelor's degree in Building Management or related field, or equivalent experience

Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset.
