A 12 month, 8 hr/day, Building Maintenance Supervisor position is available within the District.
The Building Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the proper operation of all District buildings, emergency mechanical systems and vehicles/equipment. He/she will perform maintenance activities to maintain all District property and supervise district maintenance personnel.
Should possess an understanding of building systems which including Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Roofing, Carpentry, and/or Grounds. Responsibilities surrounding building system knowledge could include:
  • Oversee a crew performing building trades, to ensure the proper operation of District systems.
  • Operate within District fiscal parameters
  • Develop maintenance programs to meet District standards
  • Coordinate work with contractors and ensure quality control standards are met
  • Attend continuing education to maintain current knowledge of building systems

Requirements:
  • Applicants must possess a High School diploma.
  • Vocational training and advanced training per trade is preferred.
  • 5 or more years of practical experience in a specific trade
  • 5 years supervisory experience
  • Good written, oral, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and operating manuals.
  • The applicant should have corrected hearing or vision within normal ranges.
  • This position requires standing, crawling, walking, twisting, bending, sitting, pushing, kneeling, stooping, lifting, stretching, and working on a ladder.
  • The applicant must be capable of operating tools of the trade.
  • A successful candidate must be available for on-call evening and weekend hours.

  2. PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
  3. FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old)
  4. TB Test/Mantoux (less than 3 months old)
  5. Physical - if applicable (less than 1 year old)
