Location: Blaine, MN 55449 (Onsite)
Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (Temp-to-Perm)
Pay Rate: $34.00 - $39.00/hr on W2
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday) | Hours may vary slightly based on business demands
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Supervisor (Working Supervisor) with strong technical expertise in HVAC and mechanical building systems to lead our maintenance operations in Blaine, MN.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Supervision: Supervise daily activities of on-site maintenance technicians and third-party vendors. Assign, prioritize, and track work orders to ensure high-quality, timely completions.
- Hands-On Maintenance (HVAC Focused): Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical/HVAC issues.
- Work Order Management: Utilize CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo) to manage workflows, track labor/parts, and maintain accurate asset history.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, promote a strong safety culture (including toolbox talks), and ensure strict adherence to OSHA standards.
- Vendor & Project Coordination: Oversee subcontractor work and serve as the main on-site contact for escalated facilities issues.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Technical Expertise: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with commercial/industrial HVAC mechanical systems.
- Licensing: EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification is required .
- Systems: Proficiency with CMMS software (Maximo or similar) and the ability to read mechanical drawings and control schematics.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work comfortably in mechanical spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active HVAC trade license.
- Professional experience in Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) or GMP (regulated manufacturing/warehouse) environments.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
