Job description

The primary function of the Bookkeeping clerk is to assist and provide support to the bookkeeping department.

Hours: 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday; some Saturdays may be required

Daily responsibilities can include but are not limited to:

  • Customer Service skills- answering basic questions from the customers and assisting with overflow calls.
  • Service Events – Close account requests, research, telephone transfer requests, stop payments, unauthorized transactions, etc.
  • Work large item reports, stop payment reports, unposted reports, Social Security information requests and Medicaid requests.
  • Respond to customers through secure messaging platform.
  • Learn and operate the switchboard, cover switchboard vacations and vacancies with a Saturday rotation possible.
  • Balancing reports including telephone transfers, ach files and internal accounts.

The ability to multi-task is crucial to this position. Applicant should possess administration skills, communication skills and critical thinking skills and must be able to perform under busy conditions and be able to meet daily deadlines. You must be able to work flexible hours based on the department needs.
