The starting salary range for this role is $35,939.02 - $40,704.00, depending on experience. What does a Finance Clerk do?

As a Finance Clerk at CATA, you'll provide critical organizational support for the finance department. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  1. Gathers and matches accounts payable documentation and approvals, responds to and inquires of vendors, maintains open and paid files, and archives records via scans of all documents.
  2. Produce weekly reports for the accounting supervisor to include upcoming electronic payments, and account payables.
  3. Responsible for maintaining proper vendor W-9 information, updating vendor certificates of insurance, and producing annual 1099s for contracted vendors.
  4. Performs fare box reconciliation, using appropriate counting machinery.
  5. Prepares bank deposits of farebox coin and currency as required for pick up by armored carrier.
  6. Prepares reports and deposit tickets for accounting staff as required to document and substantiate deposit amounts.
  7. Delivers Trip Tickets to various local outlets.
  8. Completes regular updates to the standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation for this position.
  9. All other tasks as assigned
