Associate Medical Director

Location: Honolulu, HI
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $230,000–$250,000/year + Comprehensive Benefits

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Medical Director to provide both clinical and administrative leadership. This role combines direct patient care with oversight of quality improvement, provider management, and clinical operations in a collaborative, mission-driven healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality primary care to patients.
  • Partner with the Medical Director to oversee clinical operations and provider performance.
  • Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Mentor providers and assist with physician recruitment and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and organizational initiatives.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Primary Care residency.
  • Active Hawaii Medical License (or eligible).
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in a Primary Care specialty.
  • Current DEA and BLS certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of Primary Care experience.
  • Leadership experience preferred; FQHC experience is a plus.
