Job description

Hogan Lovells is seeking a Senior Associate Recruitment Coordinator to support and drive associate recruiting and talent initiatives in our Denver office. This is a great opportunity for an experienced recruiting professional to step into a more senior, high-impact role within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

In this role, you'll coordinate and help oversee the full lifecycle of recruiting for associates, judicial clerks, lateral attorneys, patent agents, and summer associates, while also supporting associate development and engagement initiatives locally. You'll serve as a key partner to the Recruitment Manager (Western Region), Denver office leadership, and the broader U.S. Attorney Talent team to ensure a seamless and high-quality candidate experience.

We're looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities, with strong communication skills and experience working within a law firm or professional services recruiting function. The idea candidate can operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and proactively manage recruiting processes and priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

RECRUITMENT COORDINATION & CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE

  • Oversee and troubleshoot all administrative and logistical aspects of legal recruiting, including application processing, interview scheduling, and followup.

  • Maintain accurate candidate records and tracking throughout the recruiting process.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with candidates, search firms, hiring managers, practice groups, and recruitment committee members.

  • Keep all stakeholders informed of candidate status, interview outcomes, and next steps.

  • Track offers, followups, additional interviews, and recruiting activity to ensure timely communication and a positive candidate experience.


LAW SCHOOL RECRUITING SUPPORT

  • Coordinate law student recruiting activities for assigned schools.

  • Serve as a key operational contact for law school career services offices.

  • Help drive oncampus interviews (OCI), job fairs, and recruiting events by managing logistics, interview schedules, and materials.

  • Prepare interviewer materials, track followup activity, and provide status updates to school teams.

EVENTS & SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAM COORDINATION

  • Oversee recruiting events, including interviews, receptions, and networking programs.

  • Play a key role in coordinating and executing the Denver summer associate program, including:

    • Tracking assignments and evaluations

    • Preparing midsummer and endofprogram evaluation materials

    • Coordinating communications, events, and social programming

    • Serving as a daytoday point of contact for summer associates

ONBOARDING & OPERATIONS

  • Oversee onboarding for new associate and attorney hires, serving as the primary prearrival contact.

  • Prepare onboarding documentation and support orientation in partnership with internal teams.

  • Manage candidate travel, reimbursements, and related expenses.

  • Support a smooth integration experience through organized followups and ongoing coordination.

SYSTEMS, REPORTING & OPERATIONS

  • Maintain recruiting data, reports, school summaries, and class tracking with a high level of accuracy.

  • Compile and analyze recruiting metrics and track outcomes

  • Partner with IT and internal teams to support recruiting and onboarding systems (e.g., system access, training, troubleshooting).

  • Coordinate vendor invoices and payments in collaboration with Finance.

  • Track compliance items and follow up as needed with relevant stakeholders.

GENERAL

  • Stay current on firm recruiting policies and procedures and support implementation of updates.

  • Contribute to process improvements and help drive consistency across recruiting operations

  • Assist with local recruiting budget tracking and expense coordination.

  • Support special projects and collaborate with recruiting colleagues across offices as needed.

  • Mentor and support junior coordinators, assistants, and interns.

  • Participate in firmsponsored community and volunteer initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five (5) + years of experience in legal recruiting or campus recruiting coordination within a law firm or comparable professional services environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage recruiting processes independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

  • Handson experience using law school recruiting platforms (e.g., Symplicity) and an applicant tracking system is required.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Professional, serviceoriented communication skills; ability to interact effectively with candidates, firm leadership, and external partners.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently within established processes.

  • Proven discretion and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.

  • Preferred Systems Experience: viRecruit, LawCruit, FloRecruit, and Workday

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., must be flexible to work additional hours, as needed and during peak recruiting periods, particularly May through August.

In Denver, the expected base salary range for this role is $77,760 to $95,200 per year.

This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate's qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k)-retirement plan; and paid time off.
