Job Summary:

The production and assembly associate must prepare work to be accomplished by studying work orders, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. It is an essential part of the job to positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurement and assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. A strong attention to detail is very important to verify specifications by measuring completed component and doing quality checks for imperfections prior to being sent to customers and will resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources if needed. It is very important that the production and assembly associate maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. While also making sure to maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. A successful production and assembly associate must be dependable, with excellent attendance records, responsible, detail oriented, thorough, and takes pride in their work and contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

A Production and Assembly Associate is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Working with a team in a production setting, using hand and power tools to assemble products according to customer orders
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Pick and pull production material as needed
  • Load, unload, store and package inventory as needed
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment while observing all posted safety rules
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment using the “6-S” system:
  • Sort - Set in order
  • Sustain - Shine
  • Standardize - Safety

Production and Assembly Associate Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read a tape measure and able to read a work order
  • Ability to operate equipment such as; staplers, nail guns, routers, variety of saws, tape measures, glue guns, etc.
  • Attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift 30-50lbs if needed
  • Have a desire to produce a quality product with a team effort in the assembly process
