Assembly Associate
Location: Orlando, FL 32810
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Associate to join our production team. Under full supervision, you will be responsible for the general assembly of our commercial HVAC production line. This role spans all phases of production, from initial head-of-the-line assembly to final packaging in the finishing department. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who prioritizes safety and is eager to cross-train across multiple workstations to support our production goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Assembly: Perform sub-assembly of commercial HVAC units by following verbal and written instructions and engineering work orders.
  • Component Mounting: Mount various parts including sheet metal, panels, roof sections, doors, and fans.
  • Sealing & Insulation: Apply caulking and insulation tape as instructed to ensure proper sealing and prevent air leaks or condensation.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate ladders and overhead cranes to mount large or heavy parts.
  • Quality Control: Identify and report any part mismatches or defects to the line lead or supervisor immediately.
  • Operational Support: Cross-train at multiple workstations and assist other departments as required to meet production targets.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow all company safety processes and guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using various hand tools, air tools, and measuring tools.
  • Documentation: Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work orders (WOs).
  • Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to understand and follow safety directions.
  • Aptitude: Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to be trained in new operational areas.
  • Reliability: Ability to follow the standard work schedule based on production and business needs.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Physicality: Ability to stand for long periods and lift over 40 lbs.
  • Mobility: Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during the daily routine.
  • Environment: Comfortable working in a loud, non-climate controlled shop environment.
  • Shift: Standard Day Shift hours 6:00am- 4:30 pm
