Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Small Parts Aviation Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing small aerospace and aviation components while adhering to strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment, possess strong mechanical aptitude, and be comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and technical blueprints.

This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality assemblies in a fast-paced production setting.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates MUST have:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Prior assembly experience, preferably involving small parts or electromechanical products.
  • Experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and work orders.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining quality standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble small aviation and aerospace components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, gauges, fixtures, and measuring equipment to complete assemblies.
  • Inspect parts and components before, during, and after assembly to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Follow standardized assembly procedures and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform mechanical assembly of precision components and subassemblies.
  • Verify completed assemblies meet quality, safety, and customer requirements.
  • Identify defects or nonconforming parts and report issues to supervisors or quality personnel.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, and assembly documentation.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
  • Support production goals while maintaining high levels of quality and workmanship.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace, aviation, electronics, or precision manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working with small mechanical or electromechanical assemblies.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection techniques.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and production processes.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Review blueprints, assembly drawings, and production work orders.
  • Gather materials and components needed for assembly.
  • Assemble small aviation components using hand and power tools.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality.
  • Perform basic testing and verification of assembled parts.
  • Document production activities and completed work.
  • Work closely with quality inspectors, team leads, and supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Meet daily production targets while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
