Must Haves:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • 2 years or more experience in proficient computer skills, including ability to navigate email and Microsoft office.
  • J-STD Solder Experience
  • Experienced with Manual Labor
  • 1 year or more experience in reading and following drawings and work instructions.
  • 2 years or more experience with the use of basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, plyers, wire strippers, etc.
  • 1 year or more experience in using a microscope for long periods of time.
  • Must be a United States Citizen

Job Description:
Essential Functions:
  • Complete assigned solder processes as required (i.e.. Soldering components, configuring cabling, and configuring wires)
  • Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products in a repetitive nature.
  • Ability to complete assembly of complex, small assemblies with a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
  • Builds wiring harness, solders and performs PCB assembly of electrical and electro-optical subassemblies.
  • Follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives
  • Follows an engineered assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts
  • Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches
  • Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
  • Continuously performs visual inspections of materials for defects and conducts any range of functional tests and cleaning at prescribed intervals to ensure proper operation of various components during assembly
  • Performs job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Report deviations from standard to appropriate resource for review, instruction and authorization and conducts quality inspection at specified intervals
  • Uses Microsoft Office programs
  • Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
  • Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
  • Support group objectives for on-time delivery
  • Verify use of most updated procedures
  • Follow industry standard or practice for 6S
  • Crimping cables with a wide range of tools (ex. Hand crimping tools).
  • Able to transport up to 25 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
