About the Role
Join our expert electronics manufacturing team as a Solder Assembler, specializing in both surface-mount technology (SMT) and through-hole soldering. You'll play a pivotal role in producing high-quality, complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) for cutting-edge applications. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced rework equipment and the chance to develop your skills in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment. Responsibilities
- Assemble SMT and through-hole components on complex, high-mix, low-volume PCBs with precision and efficiency.
- Remove, replace, and repair bottom-terminated parts (QFNs, BGAs, LGAs) using hot-air pencils, hot plates, and state-of-the-art rework tools.
- Operate and maintain X-ray inspection equipment to assess solder joints and verify rework quality.
- Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and Bills of Materials (BOM) for accurate component placement.
- Execute precise reflow, pre-heat, and cooling cycles to meet required thermal profiles.
- Perform in-process quality checks, including visual, AOI, and X-ray inspections, and document results.
- Troubleshoot solder-related defects and implement effective corrective actions.
- Maintain strict ESD-controlled work environments and adhere to all safety and compliance protocols.
- Suggest tooling upgrades or process optimizations as part of continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Work under a microscope for extended periods to ensure detailed inspection and assembly accuracy.

- 15+ years hands-on experience in solder assembly within a precision electronics environment.
