Job Description
This position supports 1st shift operations by performing soldering and hand assembly on a variety of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and mechanical chassis. This role requires consistent onsite collaboration and will be performed 100% at a BAE Systems facility. The assembler will work with electronic and mechanical components, perform inspections and rework, and support continuous improvement efforts in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, kits, and modules using written instructions, wiring lists, diagrams, routing instructions, and process sheets
• Perform soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components (training provided if needed)
• Conduct mechanical assembly to proper torque specifications
• Wire subassemblies using wiring lists, diagrams, and routing requirements
• Operate assembly tooling, machines, and standard measuring tools
• Perform in-process inspections and verify product conformance to requirements
• Perform rework as required, including soldering and conformal coating (when certified)
• Work under a microscope to complete fine-pitch assembly tasks
• Collaborate with support staff and test personnel to diagnose and repair returned fielded units (Aftermarket environment)
• Follow work order instructions, policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Cross-train in multiple assembly positions and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills and typing ability
  • Mechanical assembly ability and/or experience
  • Focus on quality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to pass a VAST (visual acuity test)

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $38041 - $60865
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
