Job description

Position Summary

Supports the production process by helping to safely complete the assembly of finished product using sub-assemblies, weldments, parts, and fasteners to engineering specifications and drawings.

General Duties

  • Work safely and effectively in a Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Assemble products using blueprints and work instructions
  • Perform necessary measurements
  • Inspect product per inspection guidelines
  • Ensure assembled products meet all requirements
  • Pack products into designated kits according to specification
  • Identify opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery
  • Maintain proper 5S, housekeeping and safety standards
  • Must wear and use all required personal protective equipment
  • Responsible for your safety and safety of others
  • Must be willing to be flexible and assist other departments when necessary
  • Comply with company core values, policies, and legal guidelines
  • Create a positive work environment with positive attitude

Small Assembly Specific

  • Work in team environment at 1 of 11 stations (you will be trained on all 11)
  • Paint line will be required to operate the crane

Responsibilities

  • Must be safety and quality oriented

Working Conditions

Manufacturing Environment:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Wearing appropriate PPE and following safety procedures
  • May require lifting, pushing, pulling of objects.
  • Varying temperatures, depending upon season and machining
