Wire Assembler - Des Moines, IAPosition Overview -

• We are seeking detail-oriented Wire Assemblers to join a growing manufacturing team that builds custom electrical control panels for industrial and commercial applications. In this role, you will assemble, route, and terminate electrical wiring according to blueprints, schematics, and customer specifications. This position is ideal for candidates with electrical, assembly, manufacturing, construction, automotive, or technical trade experience who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities -

• Assemble and wire electrical control panels using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Route, label, terminate, and connect approximately 300 to 1,000 wires per panel.
• Layout panel components based on engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Install electrical components such as terminals, relays, breakers, contactors, and switches.
• Use hand tools including wire crimpers, cutters, strippers, screwdrivers, and measuring devices.
• Perform point-to-point wiring while maintaining quality and accuracy standards.
• Verify wire placement, terminal connections, and component installation before final inspection.
• Accurately record production hours and meet established production schedules.
• Work independently while collaborating with teammates to meet department goals.

Qualifications - Required

• Experience in wire assembly, electrical assembly, panel building, electrical wiring, production, manufacturing, construction, automotive assembly, or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
• Ability to utilize hand and basic power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and work from detailed specifications.
• Excellent hand dexterity and ability to work with small components and wiring.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

Preferred

• Previous experience building electrical control panels or experience in Electrical, maintenance, or technician-related fields.
• Technical school, trade school, or electrical coursework.
• Understanding of basic electrical components and wiring principles.

Schedule

Monday-Friday

• 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Two additional paid breaks during the shift

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.10 - $18.10/hr.
