Entry Level Assembler

Job Description

This position focuses on assembling aluminum composite panels used on the exterior of commercial buildings. You will start by working closely with an assembly lead who will guide your daily tasks until you are comfortable performing them independently. Using basic hand and power tools, you will assemble, fold, and rivet panel components according to measurements and production specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of an assembly lead to learn daily tasks and gradually transition to working independently.
  • Lay out assembly jobs for the day once trained, following production schedules and instructions.
  • Use basic hand tools, including pop rivet tools and hand drills, to assemble panel products.
  • Measure materials accurately using a tape measure and, when needed, micrometers to ensure precise dimensions.
  • Fold and rivet excursions and other components on aluminum composite panel products.
  • Lift and maneuver large sheets of material, including panels approximately 16 feet by 4.5 feet, in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Perform general labor tasks associated with assembly line and production operations as needed.
  • Follow manufacturing and production processes, including reading and interpreting blueprints where required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety procedures and proper tool usage.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with leads and supervisors about job status and any issues.
  • Meet production targets and quality standards for assembled panels.
  • Adapt to occasional schedule adjustments, including opportunities to start earlier or stay later to support production needs.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and safely handle large panel sheets (approximately 16 feet by 4.5 feet).
  • Experience or comfort with assembly and production work in a manufacturing or general labor environment.
  • Proficiency using basic hand tools such as pop rivet tools and hand drills.
  • Ability to use measuring tools, including tape measures and micrometers, with accuracy (micrometer use is trainable).
  • Capability to perform physical, hands-on work throughout the shift.
  • Willingness to work on an assembly line and follow established manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions and, when required, interpret basic blueprints.
  • Reliability in maintaining full-time hours and meeting attendance expectations.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure panels are assembled and routed to precise specifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assembly, production, or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with power tools and general labor tasks in a fabrication or industrial setting.
  • Comfort working with aluminum composite materials or similar building products.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an assembly lead and team members.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and processes, with all specialized tasks trainable on the job.

Why Work Here?

You will join a stable, climate-controlled facility that values performance, flexibility, and employee well-being. Team members have access to a monthly bonus pool tied to exceeding production targets, paid out before the holidays, with eligibility extended to temporary staff who meet expectations. Once hired directly, you can access comprehensive benefits including medical, health, dental, and vision coverage with employer contributions, as well as 401(k) matching after six months and 1–2 weeks of PTO within six months. The workplace offers internal care programs, vouchers toward eyewear or work boots, and company-provided shirts. Management supports reasonable schedule flexibility when you communicate your needs and maintain a full 40-hour workweek. The culture emphasizes recognition through outcome-based raises, paid holidays even as a temporary worker, occasional team pizza, and company outings and gatherings that foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.

Work Environment

The role is based in a leading aluminum composite fabricating facility that produces exterior panels for commercial buildings. The workplace is clean and climate-controlled, including air conditioning in the summer, and operates with approximately 110 employees. The standard schedule is first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with flexibility for a slightly later start time such as 6:00 a.m. Weekends are minimal, and there are opportunities to adjust hours by starting earlier or staying later to support production needs.
