Job description

Standard Job Description
Performs a variety of operations to manufacture, assemble and/or refurbish various aircraft parts and structures. Assemblies can require controlled tooling as well as build to print. Tasks include aligning parts on jigs using both templates and fixtures. Drill close tolerance holes. Performs part-fitting operations such as minor filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working. Measures parts with a variety of methods to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes and perform repairs. Works from blueprint diagrams, drawings, specifications, and shop orders. Monitors and verifies quality and develops corrective action. Performs corrosion inspection and repair per engineering requirements. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager as directed. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Basic Qualifications
3 years or more of demonstrated hands on experience in aviation, manufacturing, and/or assembly.
• Experience with reading blueprints and interpreting specifications and/or technical publications.
• Experience with basic hand tools (drills, torque wrench and inspections tools), as well as perform, install specialty fasteners, conduct complex rework/repairs, and use precision instruments.
• Experience with locating holes from blueprints by hand lay out, required tooling, and/or technology-based platforms.

Pay Information
Pay rate for this position is $22.64 - $37.74 per hour.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
